On Saturday 10th June we are going on a treasure hunt around the historical village of Wotton-Under-Edge. The walk starts at 2.30pm meeting at the Heritage Centre at “The Chipping” – Post code GL12 7AD. There is a large carpark with free parking for 3 hours.
The walk is about 1.5 miles and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. A treasure hunt guide will be provided for small groups of up to 6 people.
Alternative Walk Option
For those who prefer a more traditional walk (non treasure hunt option & more dog friendly!) then we are planning to go to the Tyndale monument from Wotton-Under-Edge. The walk is about 3.9 miles and takes 1 hour and 20 minutes round trip. There is the option on the return leg to take a different route.
Afterwards for those that are able we are driving 3 miles up the road to the “Bank” Cafe in Dursley which does does delicious cakes! – click here for more details We aim to get to the cafe for 4pm ish. The cafe is dog friendly.
These are fundraising walks so we are charging an entry fee of £5 per adult and £3 per child to go towards the ongoing funding of the new centre.
